The Collection
Elegant 1920s apartments steps from Testaccio's market square, choose the space that suits your trip.
The neighbourhood
Once the city's working river port and slaughterhouse district, this compact quarter has quietly become Rome's most authentic food-and-culture corner, without ever losing its everyday soul.
Mornings belong to the covered Mercato di Testaccio, where stalls sell just-picked produce, fresh pasta and the city's most famous panini. Evenings draw you to trattorias serving true Roman cooking (cacio e pepe, coda alla vaccinara, supplì) alongside craft-cocktail bars and the clubs carved into ancient Monte dei Cocci.
The Pyramid of Cestius, the leafy Non-Catholic Cemetery (Keats and Shelley rest here), Trastevere and the Colosseum are all within an easy stroll, yet you sleep among locals, not tourists.
